Event of the week: Three Ukrainian cities signed a memorandum on the full gradual transition to the RES
Mayors of Zhytomyr, Kamyanets-Podilskyi and Chortkov signed a memorandum with the international climate organization 350.org, under which they undertook to gradually transfer the power system of their cities to renewable energy sources. All three cities are already participating in a number of programs funded by European donors to reduce emissions and reduce energy consumption.
NNEGC "Energoatom" announced the beginning of an open discussion of the project on setting tariffs for electric and thermal energy produced at nuclear power plants of NNEGC "Energoatom" in 2019 and the project of the NNEGC "Energoatom" in 2019. Norwegian Scatec Solar intends to reach 200 MW of installed capacity of solar power plants (SEP) in Ukraine by the end of next year. However, in many respects this will depend on how the introduction of the program of auctions will take place. It was told by Magnus Johansen, Scatec Solar Business Development Manager. According to him, the medium-term strategy for the development of the business of solar generation Scatec Solar in Ukraine will be correlated with the introduction of the program of auctions. In the case of their successful introduction, the company will intend to continue construction as actively as possible.
